Radio

When starting to broadcast Kambisa!OnAir. at UNZA FM, we got an opportunity to train our own volunteers. Apparently we succeeded quite well, as two of our former DJ's have made to step to the popular nationwide broadcaster Radio Phoenix. One of them, DJ Lenn, is still involved in the production of the radio show and assists in the training of our new people. To see how we do it, you can mail him at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  or ask for Rose at UnZa FM.

Film

The film project started by training students online using a series of weekly readings texts and assignments. These lessons can still be send to you (free of charge) if you send us a request by email. Unfortunately, part of the material we are using is copyright-protected, hence we can not publish it online. However, to help you on your quest to become a brilliant independent filmmaker, here are a few links which we found very useful:

Lesson 3: YOU!

The main target of this lesson is to see where you stand, and what you want to achieve as an independent filmmaker. Keep it personal, and be realistic. What forces will you find against you, who and what can help you, and how are you going to prevent falling into the same traps we have mentioned before... if you want to!

COSTS AND CONDITIONS
all courses, trainings and workshops are free of charge on condition you provide for your own expenses, like transport and the printing of lesson materials. Dependent on the specific course, there might be additional requirements, like checking your email regularly, having a cellphone with sms or coming to a training location. For some courses, like the film project, we only have a limited number of places available.
Students are selected based on their vision, the additional value of this courses to achieve their missions, their chances to enroll another similar training, their chances of developping further in their field of interest and on their gender. Although we do not encourage favouritism, we do acknowledge women often find it harder to access the professional field or to express themselves publicly. Hence we make an effort to get their stories out, as much as we get the men's stories out.
